Tip: Certain audio interfaces have loopback capabilities built in, so you don't even need to use physical cables. Configure the respective preferences so that one program is outputting via the digital out, and the other is set to receive the digital input. If you have ADAT you can do the same for 8 channels of loopback. If you have SPDIF input and output ports, connect a cable between them for stereo loopback. This option has the advantage of potentially lower latency than other two other options above. If you have a spare output on your audio interface, connect a cable (or set of cables) from there to an input on the same interface. Configure the respective preferences so that one program is outputting via the analog out, and the other is set to receive the analog input.

Here's an example of how to route audio from a Youtube video into Live to record it using iShowU on Mac:

Once installed, these show up as audio drivers in Live's preferences (as well as the preferences of other audio-enabled applications). Here are some popular options:įollow the instructions for installation. Various virtual audio-routing protocols exist for Windows and Mac. We can not offer support regarding problems related to the use of such software in combination with Live and will have to ask you to contact the manufacturer in that case. Note: Routing audio between applications with third-party software can cause audio dropouts and other technical issues. Routing audio can be used for things like, for example, sampling audio from video into Live or sending SMPTE sync out of Live.

Here in 10, that does not happen. There are three common methods for routing audio between Live and other software on your computer. In 8.1, as soon as we insert headphone, a dialog used to appear and we can select. If you want speaker, select it as default or headphone as default. Now right click speaker icon on task bar and click playback devises. Then go to sound, video game controllers. Uninstall all drivers in Audio inputs and outputs. You can see that I’ve added a bit too much solder to the joint. When you’re ready, heat the joint and add some solder. Try to get a good, firm wrap without knotting things up and perhaps causing the metal to break. I also had the same problem with mic not working. Twist the end of one wire around the other wire, and vice versa.

Is there something else that I can do or is it just a matter of waiting for new VIA drivers? (VIA HD Audio is such a common audio chip that I find it hard to imagine that VIA and Microsoft haven't solved the driver problem - particularly given the Insiders Hub process!)I have Asus S400CA. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drive, then the mic seems to work but sound doesn't. Is there something else that I can do or is it just a matter of waiting for new VIA drivers? I went to the VIA web site to look for new drivers but there are none listed for Win 10.

Based on other posts, I tried to change the default format to 16 bit and other Hz.I disabled all enhancements but nothing changed One message said "Windows has detected that Audio enhancements for the following device are causing problems".Some of the events that I have encountered are: I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, then the mic seems to work but sound doesn't. I fussed with many settings but nothing seemed to work. Initially, sound worked but the microphone didn't. I just upgraded my ASUS Laptop from Win 8.1 to Win 10 X64.
